Stream32

Open-source ESP32-powered stream deck with a cross-platform Electron companion app for launching apps, hotkeys, and multi-step actions.

Open source alternative to:

Stream32 is a DIY stream deck built around the accessible and versatile ESP32 platform. The goal is a device you can build, understand, repair, and adapt to your own workflow, without proprietary hardware or software lock-in.

You buy an off-the-shelf touch display, flash it from the desktop app, and lay out pages of keys that launch apps, press hotkeys, run multi-step actions, and more. The desktop companion (Windows, macOS, and Linux) handles flashing the firmware and lets you organize multi-page decks, while the on-device firmware supports a 5x5 grid on the Waveshare ESP32-S3 Touch LCD 4 (8 pages) and up to 40 keys per page on the Elecrow CrowPanel Advanced 10.1" ESP32-P4 (8 pages).

The project ships with a plugin system for adding custom action types, a USB protocol for board communication, and a public profile format so decks can be shared. Everything needed to reproduce and modify the project — firmware, desktop app, board profiles, and documentation — lives in the open under the MIT license.
