Runtipi
Open-source homeserver orchestrator that turns any Linux server or Raspberry Pi into a personal cloud with one-click installs for 270+ self-hosted apps.
Runtipi is an open-source homeserver orchestrator that turns any Linux machine into a personal server with a web dashboard for installing and managing self-hosted apps. It runs everything in Docker containers behind a built-in Traefik reverse proxy, so you never have to write compose files, edit ports, or configure networking by hand. A single install command sets up Runtipi along with Docker, and apps are added from an App Store interface that works much like a phone's app store.
The official App Store ships more than 270 ready-to-use apps covering media servers, password managers, note-taking tools, home automation, and more. If something you need is missing, you can browse community-maintained app stores, define custom services through the web interface, or publish your own app store. Every app can be exposed on its own domain with automatic Let's Encrypt certificates, local SSL certificates, or Cloudflare tunnels for access without opening ports.
Compared to Synology DSM, Runtipi runs on any hardware you own rather than locking you into a NAS purchase, and it focuses on running web apps rather than storage and surveillance. Compared to Cloudron, it is fully free under GPL-3.0 with no per-app subscription, trading some of Cloudron's single sign-on polish for a larger community-driven catalog. Scheduling is built in: cron-style auto-backup and auto-update jobs keep apps and their data current, and the runtipi-cli lets you manage the whole instance from a terminal.
