degoog

degoog is an open-source, self-hosted search engine aggregator that queries multiple search engines and displays results in one unified interface. It is designed as a privacy-focused alternative to proprietary search engines like Google Search, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.

Built with a modular plugin/extension system, degoog allows users to add custom search engines, bang-command plugins, slot plugins (query-triggered panels), and custom HTTP transports. The lightweight core stays simple while the ecosystem can be extended through community plugins and engine definitions.

Key features include multi-engine aggregation, custom theming, Docker deployment, and a growing marketplace of community plugins. It is inspired by SearXNG but takes a more modular and lighter approach, giving users full control over their search experience without tracking, profiling, or ads.
