Hound
A self-hosted media server for watching, tracking, and managing movies and TV shows with P2P streaming support.
Hound is a modern hybrid media server that combines the best of both worlds: the full control of a self-hosted media library like Jellyfin, with the instant streaming capabilities of Stremio. It lets you host your own media files while also supporting on-demand streaming through P2P (torrent) and HTTP/Debrid sources via Stremio addons.
Beyond streaming, Hound includes built-in media tracking similar to Trakt or Simkl, automatically logging everything you watch. You can create custom collections, write reviews, and browse your watch history. The server is designed with a strong focus on UI/UX and admin experience, with Android and Android TV clients available (iOS and tvOS coming soon).
Hound is distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license and can be set up in minutes using Docker Compose with PostgreSQL as its database. It is a complete solution for anyone who wants to host their own media ecosystem while still having the option to stream content on demand.
