Huginn

Self-hosted automation platform for building agents that monitor and act on your behalf — a hackable, open source alternative to IFTTT and Zapier.

Open source alternative to:

Huginn is a self-hosted automation platform that lets you build agents which monitor the web and take actions on your behalf. Agents read RSS feeds, watch for changes on websites, track Twitter terms, scrape pages, send emails, post to Slack, and connect to a long list of services including HipChat, IMAP, JIRA, MQTT, Pushbullet, Twilio, and many more. Events flow through a directed graph you design, so you can chain simple triggers into complex workflows — all running on your own server.

Often described as a "hackable version of IFTTT or Zapier on your own server," Huginn gives you full ownership of your data. You can write custom JavaScript agents, run scheduled tasks, send and receive webhooks, create digest emails, track location over time, and even build Amazon Mechanical Turk workflows. There is an active community and a growing ecosystem of agent gems that can be plugged in.

Huginn is MIT licensed, has nearly 50,000 GitHub stars, and runs on Ruby on Rails. It ships with a Docker image for quick setup and supports MySQL or PostgreSQL. A wiki, screencast, and active Gitter community help new users get started.
