OneUptime
Open-source observability platform combining uptime monitoring, incidents, on-call, status pages, logs, traces, and metrics.
Open source alternative to:
OneUptime is an open-source monitoring and observability platform that puts uptime checks, incidents, on-call, status pages, logs, traces, metrics, error tracking, and workflows in one application. Monitors probe websites, APIs, IPs, ports, SSL certificates, and DNS from multiple regions, or accept synthetic and incoming-webhook checks, and alerts escalate to the right person over SMS, phone call, push, email, and Slack.
The observability side is OpenTelemetry-based. Agents and Helm charts ship host, Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Proxmox, VMware, Ceph, database, and storage-array metrics, along with logs and traces, into ClickHouse; dashboards, service performance views, and error tracking sit on top of that telemetry. Incidents move from declaration through customer communication to post-mortem, status pages publish updates to subscribers, and a visual workflow canvas connects Slack, Jira, GitHub, Microsoft Teams, and any other tool with a webhook. An AI copilot correlates anomalies across logs, traces, and metrics and can open a pull request with a drafted fix.
Self-hosting is a first-class option. Docker Compose covers a single server, with 16 GB of RAM, 8 cores, and 400 GB of disk recommended, and a Raspberry Pi is enough for a small setup; a Helm chart deploys the production stack on Kubernetes with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Valkey. The Community Edition is Apache-2.0 and includes SAML and OIDC single sign-on, while the ee/ directory adds SCIM, audit logs, and compliance dashboards under the OneUptime Enterprise License. Against a stack of Pingdom or UptimeRobot, Statuspage, PagerDuty or Opsgenie, Incident.io, Datadog or New Relic, Loggly, and Sentry, it replaces several separate bills and dashboards with one self-hosted platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the system requirements to self-host OneUptime?
The single-server Docker Compose install recommends 16 GB of memory, 8 cores, and 400 GB of disk, and the project notes that a Raspberry Pi works for a homelab. A production Kubernetes install uses the Helm chart and three datastores: PostgreSQL for monitors, incidents, and users, ClickHouse for logs, metrics, traces, and exceptions (about 95 percent of storage), and Valkey for cache, queues, and sessions. Object storage is only needed if you enable object-store backups.
Which apps and clients does OneUptime offer?
The dashboard runs in the browser and installs as a desktop app from Edge, Chrome, or Safari on Windows, macOS, and Linux. OneUptime On-Call is a native app for iOS 16.4 or later and Android 7.0 or later, with an APK available from GitHub. Automation runs through the @oneuptime/cli npm package, which talks to the REST API with a project API key.
Can I migrate from Pingdom, PagerDuty, or another tool?
OneUptime publishes migration guides for Pingdom, UptimeRobot, Better Stack, Statuspage, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Incident.io, Grafana On-Call, Splunk On-Call, Uptime Kuma, and StatusCake, and its Import from another tool page reads a source account with a read-only API token. The Pingdom importer shows a preview of what it found, lets you tick what to bring over, and remembers imported IDs so a re-run only creates new records.
Does OneUptime have an API, CLI, and infrastructure-as-code support?
Every dashboard action is available through a REST API authenticated with a project-scoped API key, and the oneuptime CLI wraps the same resources for terminal and CI use. A Terraform and OpenTofu provider manages monitors, status pages, on-call policies, teams, and labels as code, and an MCP server exposes project records as tools for AI clients.
What authentication options does OneUptime support?
Users can sign in with a local password or a passkey, and projects can add SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect single sign-on, including a setting that requires SSO for everyone. SSO is part of the Community Edition on self-hosted installs, while SCIM provisioning is an Enterprise feature. Multi-factor authentication is handled by your identity provider when SSO is enabled.
