Briefkasten
📮 Self hosted bookmarking app
Briefkasten is a self-hosted bookmarking application for saving, organising, and searching web content. Users can add bookmarks via a browser extension, drag-and-drop, or the Android share menu, with the app automatically extracting titles, descriptions, and preview images. Bookmarks can be grouped with tags and categories, and a full-text search makes it easy to retrieve saved content across a large collection.
The platform supports REST API access, import and export in standard HTML format, and authentication through OAuth providers or email magic links. Data is stored on your own infrastructure, giving you complete ownership and privacy over your reading list.
Briefkasten is aimed at developers and technically-minded users who want a private, customisable alternative to commercial bookmarking services and are comfortable self-hosting their own applications.
