Wallabag
Self-hosted read-it-later app that saves articles for offline reading with a clean, distraction-free view.
Open source alternative to:
Wallabag is a self-hosted read-it-later web application. You save articles from websites, and Wallabag strips away the clutter — ads, navigation, sidebars — to present a clean, readable version optimized for reading.
Saved articles can be read on the web, or synced to official mobile apps (iOS and Android) or e-readers for offline reading. Wallabag supports tagging, favoriting, and full-text search across your entire saved article archive. It can export articles to EPUB or PDF for offline reading on e-readers.
For users leaving Pocket or Instapaper, Wallabag provides an import tool to migrate your existing library. Unlike the commercial alternatives, Wallabag stores everything on your own server — your reading habits are private and data is entirely under your control. It can be installed on any PHP server or run via Docker.
