Puppyone is a local-first desktop editor for working with your documents and files, built to sit alongside AI agents. It installs with npm (npm install --global puppyone) and runs from a single command, opening local folders so your files stay on your machine unless you explicitly opt into Puppyone Cloud.
It handles a wide range of file types natively: Markdown, HTML, CSS, CSV, JSON, DOCX, XLSX, PDF, media, and 3D files — so it works both as a rich document editor and a workspace for your notes and files. Git review and local project history are built in.
Agents are where Puppyone differs from a typical notes app: Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and OpenCode run inside a built-in terminal, so editing, watching, and agent-driven changes happen in the same window. An optional paid cloud tier adds hosting, backup, always-on MCP or CLI access, and team collaboration on hosted projects.
