Scrob

Self-hosted media tracker that syncs your Jellyfin, Plex, or Emby libraries, tracks watch history, ratings, and lists — your own private Letterboxd + Trakt.

Open source alternative to:

Scrob is a self-hosted media tracking app that combines the social film diary experience of Letterboxd with the cross-platform watch tracking of Trakt, with the entire stack running on your own server. It syncs your full library, watch history, and ratings from Jellyfin, Plex, and Emby — including real-time updates via webhooks — and adds social features like following other users, comments, and personal lists.

Beyond tracking, Scrob integrates with the rest of the *arr stack (Radarr and Sonarr) so you can add new movies and shows directly from the UI, and pushes activity to Trakt and Simkl for users who want their tracking synced across services. The PWA install gives it an app-like feel on phones and tablets, while features like season-level ratings, custom lists, and TMDB-sourced metadata make it a solid centerpiece for a self-hosted media setup.

If you want a private alternative to Letterboxd and Trakt that you fully own — with the option to keep syncing data to those services — Scrob is one of the most complete options in the self-hosted space.
