Linkding
Minimal, fast, self-hosted bookmark manager with tagging, full-text search, and a clean web UI designed for easy Docker deployment.
Linkding is a self-hosted bookmark manager that prioritizes being minimal, fast, and simple to set up. Built with Django and a lightweight frontend, it provides a no-frills web UI for saving, tagging, and searching bookmarks. It also exposes a REST API for automation and integration with third-party tools.
Features include full-text search, bulk imports and exports (Netscape HTML format), browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox, theming support, and a responsive mobile-friendly interface. Bookmarks can be archived locally, and the app supports user accounts for shared instances.
Linkding is intentionally minimal — it does not include features like screenshot capture or AI tagging, making it extremely fast and lightweight. It runs as a single Docker container and is a popular self-hosted alternative to Pinboard and Pocket for users who want dead-simple link saving without overhead.
